ISAIAH JARAE MITCHELL
Isaiah Jarae Mitchell was born in Portland, Oregon, November 15, 2000, to his (Mom the late) Wenona Bell and to his father Kevin Mitchell of Portland, Oregon. Isaiah started school at Boise Elliot elementary school from K-5th grade, in those times he played “biddy ball”. Then at 13 he played AAU on the expansion team; Isaiah also went to Woodland school from 5th-8th grade. Isaiah became a student in the 9th grade at Thomas Jefferson High School of Portland, Oregon, where he became a sports figure!! Go Ike’y Go!!!! Isaiah played some of everything!!! Isaiah was a special soul he believed in his mom’s healing for breast cancer. He would wear pink kneepads, a pink headband and wristbands, when he played at his basketball games to honor his mother. She eventually passed away, but her light continued to live in him for her.
Isaiah played football (quarterback and running back), basketball, and he even ran a little track, but his strongest suit was basketball. He was on the AAU traveling basketball team. He went to New York, Las Vegas and California. They made it to the playoffs, but because of Covid they never got to go to Hawaii. Isaiah would tell his dad; I brought the house down tonight! Expressing his basketball game!!! He never bragged to other people. He was a great kid!! He was quiet but he knew when to show his God given talent. On the field or on the court!!!
Isaiah had different jobs. He worked for Express Personnel doing warehouse work and also had a job at Stoopid Burger with his brother Danny. He also did lots of odd jobs with his dad, like landscaping and moving furniture. Isaiah wasn’t just any average young man. He was very handsome man with a great smile and a quiet spirit. His favorite meal from Jack-in-the-Box was a jumbo jack with a burger on the side and curly fries!
Unfortunately, his life was cut short. He was still a success, and he touched many lives and put a lot of smiles on people's faces! We love you Isaiah, you will be greatly missed!!!
Isaiah was preceded in death Wenona Bell (Mom), Deshawn Bell (Brother), Willie Bell (Grandfather), and Elder Huedell Mitchell, (Grandfather).
He leaves to mourn, Kevin Mitchell, (Father), Lorraine Bell (Grandmother) Derrick Bell (Uncle) Duran Bell (Uncle) Uncle) Tracy Bell, (Aunt)Denise Mitchell, (Uncle)Aaron Mitchell, (Aunt)Pam Mitchell Morgan, (Uncle)Michael, Mitchell. Isaiah’s siblings, Samyia Bell, (sister) RoTosha Mitchell, (sister) Lakeisha Stewart, (brother Kevin jr Mitchell, (sister)Cherie Mitchell, (sister)Jasmin Mitchell, (brother)Nevin Mitchell, and a host of Cousins and friends.
